MIKE'S QUICK HITTERS -- Down The Rathole

Reflecting on the hundreds of billions of dollars spent on government
programs, that supposedly were to solve various social problems, but have
accomplished little or nothing...

Some might wonder if more should be spent.

Others might demand an accounting.

But I say that the real purpose of these programs was NOT to solve social
problems, but was merely to spread some money around for quick political
advantage, strategic photo ops, and to buy votes. If anything got "solved"
along the way by accident, that's dandy, but was never the intent.

Once you view the programs in this context, it all makes a whole lot more
sense.
